Salacious is a now small band from Toledo, Ohio, which got its start just before the summer of '04. Steve Warstler (drums) and Joe Sullivan (guitar) had already been playing together for several years when they invited their friend Nathan Loyer (bass) to come and play with them. Joe made up songs and they mainly played originals without words. Around the time summer was spent they started their hunt for a singer.
During the football season, practices reached a temporary hiatus for the three members were involved in the sfs marching band leaving little time to practice. Once the football season was over the currently unnamed band decided to give Joe Sferra a try for singing since they knew him pretty well already.
From the first time they all practiced together everything went smoothly, in fact that night they played a little mini-show (about 4-6 songs) for a small party of friends.
Since then they have moved on to play more music and started writing their own. Right now they aren't sure what style they play in, but they are influenced by funk, rock, and blues.
